How to print multi-golf balls one time with brotherjet printer

Preparatory work & Necessary materials

• Many golf balls
• Make sure the printer is working properly and connected to the computer and powered on.
• Golf ball jig from BrotherJet
• ADOBE Photoshop & Brotherjet AritsRIP 8.3 RIP software has been installed in your computer and they are working properly.

Three steps to make a printing template, It easily!

1. Open the 1# template file “CD disk:\EPS FILE\GOLF 30-40 CM_ONE.EPS” with photoshop, The file you can get in the BrotherJet RIP software and tolls cd disk. In Photoshop, use the File –> Place command to put image file you want to print on golf balls into the new layer in edition template.
Adjust the image size and position to move it to the centre of circular pattern.Make sure the image size does not exceed the circular pattern range.






Hide the “Layer 0″  layer, Use the Edit –> Define Pattern command to create a Pattern you can give a name like “GOLF_PRINT_IMG”.





2. Open the 2# template file “CD disk:\EPS FILE\GOLF 30-40 CM.EPS” with photoshop, The file you can get in the BrotherJet RIP software and tolls cd disk.



Select “IMG_B” layer and Use the Edit –> Fill command, In the Fill dialog, set the contents to use “Pattern”. In Photoshop CS4 and later, make sure “Scripted Patterns” is not checked, (But do explore it later… it’s cool!). Select your custom pattern named “GOLF_PRINT_IMG” from Custom Pattern drop-down panel and click “ok”to fill the layer.

3. Hide the “BACKGROUND” layer, please compose the file and save it as format JPG/EPS/TIF.

1. By printing coordinate we can locate the printing position easily and accurately.
2. Open the coordinate file with the RIP software, set the output: X=0, Y=0, output size: width=33cm, the height with adjust automatically.(For the formula mode of the software there will be a little bit error between the actual size and the real pho to size.)









3. Put the golf ball jig on the golf ball printer's platform where the Jig photo/Coordinate is printed.

Start the first phone case printing with BR-S1800 flatbed printer

Preparations:

1) BR-S1800 eco solvent direct to substrate printer
2) Software BrotherjetRIP V8.2.3
3) IPHONE4 blank case
4) iPhone4 case jig
5) Pictures need to print

Picture preprocessing:

1) Cut the picture to fit the actual phonecase size.

Using photoshop or similar software to cut the photo according to the actual proportion of the phone case.	The length and width should be a little bit larger than the phone case but its proportion should be the same, to make sure the full body of the case will be printed.

2) Photo typesetting on a jig file.
With the help of PHOTOSHP/ILLUSTRATOR to do the typesetting.
1. Put the photo into the corresponding slot positions on the jig.
2. Save as JIG /TIF/EPS after the typesetting.

The red dotting frame is the frame of jig, as well as the typesetting file frame, please keep it for the right printing position.

Printing position setting:

Way 2: By printing Jig photo directly on the platform
1. By printing jig photo we can locate the printing size actually.

2. Open the jig file with Rip software, set the output:X=1; Y=1, output position:Width=30CM,hight will adjust automatically.Size of the Jig is:30CM*58CM
(For the formula mode of the software there will be a little difference between the actual size and the real photo size)



3. Put the jig on the platform where the Jig photo/Coordinate is printed.

Height adjust

1. Make sure the jig is firmly on the platform, no movement occurs during printing, otherwise malposition may happen.
2. Put each blank case into the slot position on the jig, make sure all the cases are at the same horizontal.
3. Press UP button the platform will go up, leave a 2-3mm space between the printer head and the surface of case.

(Notice: Automatic Height adjustment will not work on transparent materials, will need manual adjustment)

Used BrotherJet ArtisRIP V8.3 templates menu print phone case

At BrotherJet ArtisRIP v8.3 white rip software the template menu is under View > Template





Create a new template
Choose the basic outline shape for the template slots. Options are wallet, rectangle/square or circle. These are not shape masks, only layout outlines. Any required masking of your image must be done before opening the image in ArtisRIP V8.3 DTG & DIRECT PRINTER RIP SOFTWARE

• Input the necessary values for each option:
• Start X = Print start offset from the left
• Start Y = Print start offset from the top
• Width = Width of each slot
• Height = Height of each slot
• Interval X = space between each column
• Interval Y = space between each row
• X Steps = Number of columns
• Y Steps = Number of rows
• Angle = Choose the automatic image rotation at 90 degree intervals (default = 0)
• Line Width = Width of slot outline (default = Normal)

Select Save to save your new template. A Save window will open where you can name the template.

Printing different images in a single template
The Template feature in ArtisRIP only replicates a single image. To print different images in a template, lay up the complete artwork outside of ArtisRIP and save as a ArtisRIP compatible file type (.psd, .eps, .jpg, .png, .tif, .bmp, .ps).

If you are using a BrotherJet manufactured bespoke jig print fixture, a template will be supplied in the format of your choice. BrotherJet can supply EPS templates for most popular graphics packages, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.

Brotherjet Direct printer Common Troubleshooting

1.Error lights when the printer boot
a. Press the back button then press the rest button
b. Replace the control chip
2. The ink is Drift whe print
a. check the carriage, is moving smoothly? if not, clean the carriage and apply lubricant.
b. clean the encoder strip and encoder
d. clean the static electricity of the materials.
4. When boot the printer the carriage Repeatedly move and crash, the carriage has no action
a. clean the encoder strip
b. The carriage left encoder lossed.
5. When printer switch on, The ready lights is loss, the button is loss.
a. Please replace the control board.
6. The print color is not good
a. Please load the ink icc from your in supplier
7. There is no ink take out when do a print
a. Clean the printhead with cleaning progarm.
b. If it happen after replace the printhead, please check the printhead datacabel.

Errors Appeared While Printing

After sending printing order, platform moves out but doesn’t printing. Product Set Light is flashing:
When printing, the computer points out mediums are used up or the papers are wrongly fitted, (The platform doesn’t return to the previous position), replace the papers correctly. Press ENTER button, when the platform completely returns to previous position, the flatbed printing machine will do self-inspection. Then press Product Set Button, until the Product Set Light doesn’t flashing, the printing can be continued.

When printing, after sending order the printer doesn’t work. The computer points out the printer is not getting ready or communication mistakes：
Check whether the printer has already been on-line started.
Check whether the USB cable is well connected with computer.
Check whether has chosen the right flatbed printer in the computer.
Look over whether the file of printing task is accumulated, eliminate all tasks of printing and send the order again.
If necessary please uninstall the printer device driver, reprinting after reinstall the flatbed printer device driver.

While printing, after sending the order, the computer points out paper jam.Product Set Indicator  flashing：
Press the Product Set Button, the platform will get out, then press the Enter button make sure the platform return to the previous position, then press Product Set Button to continue the printing.
Please check whether the raster encoding disk is dirty, using the bathroom tissue to wipe the edge of raster slice.
Please check whether the front and back drive belts and the pulley have interval or is loosed, please adjust and fix it.
The printed image stripe is very bad or the effect is unconspicuous:
Check the printing nozzle to see if the picture is missing color pure, do the cleaning if it do missing color pure. Make sure it can print the intact testing color strip,.
Look over whether the various parameters of printing setting are suitable in the computer, and setup again correctly.
Find printing Head Alignment in Maintenance column of printer, and execute according to the hint.
Check weather the various transmission bands that control the platform’s ingress and egress and the connecting gear wheel are loose or have too largeinterval, and adjust it appropriately.

During the printing, printer stops working suddenly:
Check whether the USB cable is poor contact.
Check whether the computer is interfered or corroded by virus.
Turn off the printer and restart it.

When the printing is finished, the platform walk out totally. After the carriage unit return from the left side, the ink change indicator light and product placement indicator light normally on, the computer report the general error
Please check whether the length of printing image is bigger than the located size of paper.
The sliding components of cleaning unit has accumulated discarded ink, adding the resistance.
The chip of ink cartridge doesn’t return to the intial position, the ink prompt quantity of ink is little.

The output image is smudge
Whether the printer head is miss color pure or plugged.
Whether the original image is clear.( High Resolution).
Whether the printer output set up choose the suitable option.
Whether the printing materials are absorbent.
Whether the distance between the printer and the surface of the printing product has been adjusted the suitable place.

When printing, the printer works normally but doesn’t spray ink.
Whether the printer head is miss color pure or plugged.
Whether the vent of printer breakout box is open? The correct should be open.
The cleaning unit is not well sealed, appear air leak phenomenon. As a result that the can’t make the printer is fulled with ink.
The printer or main board are damaged.

How to set the position with brotherjet RIP when we printing

Now, Please follow me!
if you use the card/CD/pen/golf or ther jig
We ake card jig for example.
1. We can find the “XY Starting Point” file in the CD.

2. Input the “XY Starting Point” to the BROTHERJET RIP software.


3. Covering the working table with paper, then we can print. “XY Starting point” file.

4. Imput the artwork into the Brotherjet RIP.

5. Clean the surface of cards by napkin dip alcohol. Spary coating on cards evenly and dry them for 5 minutes (not too long).

6. Put your card tray on flatbed according to X,Y lines and use your double-side tape to fasten. Make sure it does not move during printing.

7. Setting the Brotherjet RIP software.

8. Press “up” move flatbed until it stops itselft.
We set printing distance between object and print head to 5mm.
There is a infrared ray go through, if any object obstruct it. The red light will on and cut off the motor which move the flatbed.
The press “down” until the red light off.

9. Everthing is ok! We can print it.
If you don’t use the card\CD\PEN\Golf or other jig, we take one card for example.
1. Print the “XY Starting Point” file as above.

2. Make the card size: width=8.5cm, height=5.4cm

3. Imput the artwork into ther Brotherjet RIP and set the parameter.

4. Put the card on the workingtable. Make sure it does not move during printing.

5. Press “up” move flatbed.
We set printing distance between object and print head to 5mm.
6. Press “back” home and then print.

T-SHIRT printing solution with Magic White Ink

T-shirt prining Background analysis and market prospect



At this stage, there are two kinds of white ink applied to dark background t-shirt, such as Black T-shirt, Red T-Shirt, and Blue T-Shirt. One is the common White ink with which the t-shirt should be precoated. The other is Magic white ink (DTX-Wh) which is the product that can be printed on t-shirt directly without coating.



Regarding the printout quality, t-shirt with common white ink feels rigid and looks like pure white, and this white ink has little corrosion; and t-shirt with Magic white ink feels soft but the white looks like a little yellowish, because it changes t-shirt color by corroding the t-shirt, so you have to clean the head after printing job to protect it from corrosion.

Here we are going to set the parameters to get the best printout.

1.Please run the “Brotherjet RIP Color Ver8.1” software with Brother RIP.

2.Import the artwork into the Brother software .



3.Set the “layout”

It is the same to the color ink printing, we should check the “paper size”/ “output position”/ “output size”, and the “scale” must be “true”.



4.Set the “printer”

Please choose the right printer type \USB port\Image type\feeding \speed. The important thing is we should choose the resolution (white 1440×1440) and the resolution (color 2880×1440) at the same time. So please set them to the proper DPI.



5.Set the “color”, and choose right ink type as YMCK+WWWW. Then set the ink limit about color ink and white ink .The color ink limit is 100%, the white ink limit is 55%.



6.Open the print box, and let’s print the white ink first. We should set the “copies”. white copies setting is “1″; color copies setting is “0″ when the white ink printing is OK .Please press the “back” button,thenthe working table will go back home.

Notice : Don’t move the material.



7.Print Color Ink

Open the print box again and set the “copies” ,White Copies is “0″ and Color Copies is “1″.



8. Click the “print” again, then we can print the color ink.



9. Heat the T-Shirt with “Heat Press Machine” at 185oC for 2minuts.

Notice : Regarding our discharging ink(DTX-Wh), you had better clean the printheadby use of normal txcleaner or water. One of characteristic of all discharging ink might corrode inside of head nozzles. According to our experience, the corroding might be happened after 3 weeks more or less. The best way to clean the head is to stuff cleaner into the empty cartridges, then try to use head cleaning function by use of BrotherRipwhen you finish & stop the print jobs.

Brotherjet R1900 Control panel introduction

1. General power button: The red BUTTON, This is for the electricity start after we connect the machine with electricity.




2. POWER: This is for the printing engine system start. Press it for 3seconds and the light will be flashing, the printing system will begin to initialize and the light will be SOLID ON after 1.5mintues which means the machine is ready to work.



3. INK: This is for head cleaning and ink cartridges resetting.



4. ERROR: Paper Jam solution button and When the file to pause printing and cancel the file, press it for one click.



5. ROLL: Do not use it please.



6. UP: This is for moving up the working table. One click is about 2mm; If we press on it for over 3seconds, the table will move up until the up limit.



7. Down: This is for moving down the working table. One click is about 2mm; If we press on it for over 3seconds, the table will move down until the down limit bottom.



8. FORE: This is for moving out the working table. Once click is about 5mm; If we press on it for over 3seconds, the table will move out until to the end.



9. BACK：This is for moving back the working table. One click is about 5mm; if we press on it for over 3seconds, the table will move ink until to the end.
